ABOUT Willie

A lifetime public servant, local business owner, and community advocate, Dr. Willie Ng has dedicated his life to restoring integrity, strength, and trust in the places we call home. His story is one of service, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the people of Bexar County.

A Lifetime of Service to Texas

Dr. Willie Vasquez Ng, MPA, PhD, is a lifelong public servant, Master Peace Officer, entrepreneur, educator, and nonprofit leader who has dedicated more than 30 years to protecting, supporting, and strengthening the people of Central and South Texas. Born and raised in San Antonio, Willie built his life around service, integrity, and stepping up when others won’t.

Three Decades of Frontline Leadership

Willie began his career with the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) in 1993. Over the next 22 years, he served in multiple roles—first as a Patrol Officer, then as a Detective Investigator in both the Repeat Offenders Program (ROP) and the Forgery & Financial Crimes Unit.

His investigations included narcotics, identity theft, credit card abuse, counterfeit currency, fraud, and organized repeat-offender cases. Willie’s meticulous case work, professionalism, and calm under pressure earned him the respect of colleagues across SAPD.

He later served more than seven years on the U.S. Secret Service Task Force, where he was deputized as a Special Federal Deputy Marshal. There he assisted with major federal investigations involving wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, public corruption, organized crime, and national security intelligence.

In 2015, Willie was appointed Chief Criminal Investigator for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office, leading a division of 54 investigators and multiple civilian personnel. He worked closely with prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, and federal partners to prepare serious criminal cases for prosecution, serving in this role with honor until 2018.
